Spaceflights

In cooperation with the Space Expedition Corporation (SXC), Astrowright is proud to offer flights aboard the SXC's Lynx spacecraft (both Mark I and Mark II variants), the first of which are slated to begin flying in late 2013-2014. Requiring no drop-ship or external rocket boosters to reach space, the Lynx is a direct-to-suborbital-space aircraft/spacecraft, featuring a revolutionary, double-redundant rocket propulsion system that enables both powered flight and landing. Compared to other commercial spacecraft, the Lynx offers several unique characteristics for spaceflight participants. These include a twin-seat, co-pilot/passenger configuration that ensures participation in all phases of the spaceflight as well as a full-canopy, unprecedented view of the Earth's limb and starscape. Additionally, a flight in the Lynx includes use of a pressure suit, which incorporates the in-flight communication system, maintains passenger comfort, and provides a necessary line of defense in the event of unexpected cabin pressure loss. Also, for those interested in experimentation or research, the Lynx includes a dedicated instrumentation bay behind the passenger's seat. Astrowright Lynx flight packages include the flight itself, (which incorporates accommodations prior to the flight and a suite of SXC educational courses), a 12- or 24-session Astrowright preflight fitness training package, mental preparedness training through our partner, Inner Space Training, and a bonus, wearable Astrowright active radiation dosimeter to measure exposure during your flight. Contact an on-staff SXC Certified Space Agent at SXCLynx@astrowright.com for more details and information on the Lynx spacecraft, the spaceflight profile, flight packages and pricing, available spaceports, and current scheduling. Let Astrowright help you meet your spaceflight goals and maximize your time in space!
